I want to be a caregiver or CNA is what I have been doing for 33 years. I enjoy my job taking care my clients and their families.
An employer should hire me because of my dependability to come to work not to call in unless absolutely necessary. I'm compassionate towards my clients and family members. I have good customer service skills. I keep up with my in service hours that go towards my CNA certification. I have escorted clients to doctors appointments. When I worked for a personal care home, I prepared meals, set up medications and helped with bathing and grooming. While working at the nursing homes and the hospital, I start my day by taking vital signs and blood sugars. I also pass out ice water, then start getting clients bathed and groomed. Also change linens and straighten up their rooms. At the hospital, I use a computer to record vital sign stats and hourly rounding on each client. I have a dependable vehicle to go to do home visits.
