Last Employer: Coming Soon
I wish to become a caregiver because I have done so for many years for my family: first as a single parent and sole supporter for my daughter, later for my dear husband and now as a grandmother, who give me great joy when I am with them. I spent several years being a caregiver in helping my mother transistion to nursing home living. I learned much from this experience. I find that it gives me a great deal of fulfillment. I try to help others in whatever way that I can. When I worked as office manager in a small doctor's office, I found my greatest joy was through interacting with patients and offering nutritional support. Though I began CNA training, I was unable to complete this, however can do some aspects of this. I have taught healthy cooking classes and love to cook for others. I am willing and interested in learning how I can be of service, while also improving my own financial picture while in semi-retirement.
Any employer would be thrilled to hire me because I am a responsible, mature person. I am intelligent, caring and willing to learn the process of this work as a business. I am flexible, work well with others, offer creative problem solving skills and, most importantly, have a positive attitude. I spent over a decade in my own business, bringing great people skills and creativity to this work. Any training offered to do this work will be utilized by me to do an excellent job. I am also a skilled professional trainer. I am patient and helpful and a 'quick study.' Once I learn what is required for the assignments, I would enjoy the opportunity to train and/or monitor or supervise others.
