Last Employer: ITCN for Headstart Preschool teacher
I want to be a care giver; because I love to spend my time working in a job setting that is helping others. I have had experience taking care of my two grandmothers; my great grandmother, Esta Elltiste; who lived in Fallon for years on Drumm Ln.; when I was a teenager with my mother; and her daughter, my grandmother, Kay Wilson when I was an adult. I took care of her at her home and my home at different times for a couple years. Both of my grandmothers developed Alzheimer's Disease; where they forgot who we were. I also had experience helping my husband take care of his father who was in a wheelchair for a couple years; before he passed away. I volunteered at the Fernley Senior Center too, visiting with people; doing arts and crafts with them; and serving them their meals. I also would bring my children with me at times, so they could play piano for the ladies and men there. Last of all; I was a preschool teacher for 5 years; along with a daycare giver for little ones for 6 years before that. I have always loved working as a caregiver whether it be for little ones or elderly relatives; but Iv'e never got to work with a home care company yet; and hope to work for you. I am willing to learn all of the training that is necessary to take care of these dear people. I was also very interested in acheiving a CNA certificate quite recently; so thank-you for reading my application.
An employer should hire me because I am caring, patient and compassionate to people; and willing to learn anything new that will help me expand my knowledge in the caregiver business.
