When I was a little girl my grandmother was sick and I would take care of her after school but she made me promise not to tell my mother until she got so sick she could no longer hide it. She was diagnosed with cancer. She went in the hospital on Christmas Day and never returned. I also felt that she would have had a better chance if I would have spoken up until I became an adult.
