WHY I WANT TO BE A CAREGIVER

I was a CNA from 1999 - 2000 until I entered LPN nursing school at Reading Area Community College in Reading, PA. Being a CNA was the catalyst that triggered my desire to continue further in my nursing career.

WHY YOU SHOULD HIRE ME

I have been an LPN since 2001 with 2 years prior experience as a CNA. As an LPN, I acquired training and experienc in Geriatrics, Psychiatric, Rehabilitation nursing to Post surgical, CVA, and Amputee patients. Most of my nursing career has been with Home Care patients. I have had experience with total full care patients, patients who required less care needing only periodic home visits. I nursed with Hospice patients. I have done wound care, less invasive care not requiring the presence of an RN, Medications teaching and monitoring. My last case, which ended June 27, 2014 was a long term (4 yrs, 11 months) was with pediatrics. I worked with a 9 yr old handicapped child who required G-tube feedings and nutritional monitoring. I went with him to school as well as remaining in the home. I am willing to work and serve. I am dedicated to my profession as a Nurse-LPN.
