I want to continue to be a caregiver because I have always enjoyed this line of work and I would like to continue to educate myself through experience before going to school for something in the field. I feel as though I have been built for this line of work and would grateful for new experiences with new patients or residents.
I am currently working with a quadriplegic man. He has a catheter, colposcopy bag, wound vac, and a diabetic diet. I am dressing wounds, assisting with medicines, transporting him to dr. appts. cooking, cleaning, feeding, bathing, changing dressings and bags. lifting, operating computer and numerous programs. Previously to this current position I was working with Alzheimer & dementia patients assisting them with daily routines. Dressing, feeding, exercising, cooking, cleaning, stocking, laundry, medicines, and bathing. I am able to document my work, correspond well with family members, be on time, have knowledge of HiPPa, CPR and First aid, TB test, healthy, able to lift, non smoker, reliable transportation, and value my job and company.
