So far in my almost two year experience of working in an assisted living facility, I have loved every minute of it. I enjoy conversing with all of my residents and hearing all of their life stories. I can tell that they all enjoy talking about their lives because they look genuinely happy, which makes me happy. I never thought that I could fall in love with a job like i have with this one. I love coming to work every day. I am grateful to be there for all of my patients/residents that don't have many family members or friends that are able to visit. I feel like I have made a difference in many of my resident's lives by being there for them when they have needed someone the most. It brightens my day to see my residents smile or laughing and to see them happy.
I am a great communicator and love meeting new people. I have great listening skills and will do my tasks as told and on time. One thing that I have always thought that is unique about me is that I connect with each and every one of my residents. I get to know about their families and their pasts and learn to know how they act in certain situations so I know how to be there for them when those said situations occur. I would be a great employee because I am very committed and motivated while working. Even on bad days, I push through it and keep a smile on my face. I would be a great caregiver because I am a reliable person and treat everyone with respect no matter the situation.
