We are seeking CNAs and GNAs that have a desire to fulfill our mission of "Helping People Live Better, Healthier Lives through Care You Can Trust". Candidates must embody our 4 core values which include: character, integrity, passion, and compassion.

Qualifications:

Candidate must be graduate of state of MD approved CNA/GNA program
Must be currently certified state of MD
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess current CPR AND First Aid certifications
Must have a PPD and physical exam within the past year to demonstrate that he/she is free of communicable diseases and physically capable to perform assigned duties
Must have good organizational and communication skills
Must have the ability to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
One year of experience in geriatrics is preferred but not mandatory
Responsibilities: Assist clients in the following areas:

Personal care functions including:Bathing (bed, tub, shower, or sponge bath)
Skin care

Toileting (bedpan, urinal, commode and/or toilet)
Grooming (shampoo, nail care and shaving)
Oral hygiene (denture care)
Assist with dressing and undressing
Assist with feeding
Assist with turning and repositioning
Proper transfer techniques
Demonstrate appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment
Make and change beds (occupied and unoccupied)
Accompany clients to appointments
Ambulate clients who require minimal assistance
Perform skin assessments and notify Nursing Supervisor of any abnormalities in skin integrity
Immediately report any changes in client's condition or incidents to Nursing Supervisor
Maintain confidentiality in relation to all clients, staff, and documentation
Maintain professional appearance and comply with agency dress code
Maintain a cooperative manner towards client/family and members of healthcare team
