A home care scheduler manages and coordinates the care/schedule requested by our clients by assigning our employees according to their availability and compatibility.  The responsibilities in this career also include handling the concerns of clients, caregivers and responding to these calls with a resolve. You act as the point-of-contact between caregivers and families, making outstanding interpersonal skills imperative.  This is a fast paced environment that is ever-changing so one must be able to adapt to the issues at hand.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Speaks, reads, writes, and comprehends English.
Demonstrates time management, organizational skills, and ability to function with minimal direction once trained.
Experience in home care or knowledge of the healthcare industry is preferred.
Prior scheduling experience preferred.
Requires proficiency in computer skills 
Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication, team oriented and customer service techniques.
Must perform and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently and work well under pressure.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enters, maintains, and corrects client and employee data into our computer system.
Minimizes substitution of employees and maximizes permanent coverage.
Handles coordination of care for client services.
Assures that cases are filled within established time frames.
Provides appropriate notification of schedule to employee, client, contract agency, supervisor, and others as appropriate.
Responds to emergency calls and arranges schedules accordingly.
Reports any scheduling changes and/or client concerns to the supervisor. Notifies clients of changes and monitors employee performance in areas of dependability, responsiveness, timeliness, and client concerns.
