In-home caregivers will assist with multiple tasks in a client’s home. They may visit the client each day in a part-time or full-time position. In-home caregivers help with a variety of tasks, including companion care, personal care, meal preparation, running errands, and light housework. They work with many types of clients, including those with cognitive impairments, physical limitations, or chronic ailments. Aides may also maintain and update care notes for insurance purposes.

You may help clients with a variety of tasks. In-home caregiver responsibilities may include:

  • Helping clients with daily functions, such as dressing or taking a bath
  • Housekeeping, such as vacuuming or doing laundry
  • Grocery shopping and cooking meals
  • Assisting client with medications
  • Scheduling doctor's appointments or other meetings and organizing transportation
  • Recording and reporting to nurses about the client’s health status
  • Supporting client to maintain as much independence as possible

*** Sign-on Bonus for 30-hour week availability. $200 after 2 full two weeks with another $200 after 90 days.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


In-home caregivers must be trustworthy and dependable with clients and their families feel comfortable relying on them. They should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Current and valid CNA or STNA certification preferred, but not required
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Strong client service skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to carefully follow protocols and rules regarding the client’s care
  • Ability to identify and address any changes in the client’s condition
