Summary

Scheduling is one of the strongest determinants of providing quality care within the senior care industry. It is the responsibility of the home care agency Scheduler to oversee the staffing of in-home care client cases. The Scheduler monitors the on-time arrivals of Caregivers and re-routing and/or re-staffing of cases, if needed. The Scheduler makes notes daily for clients and employees when needed (change in hours, complaints, or praises, updating level of care, etc.). Schedulers may act as a back-up to answer incoming calls in the office. We combine professional care management, training, and counseling to deliver superior services to older adults, their families, and the professionals involved in their care. 

Primary Responsibilities

Schedules disciplines to all home care cases, current and prospective
Proactively resolves staffing issues because of changes to client or Caregiver’s schedules
Records and maintains detailed data in scheduling logs and staffing calendars
Maintains record of absences (approved and unapproved) of all agency field personnel
Notifies management of all staffing problems, resolved and unresolved, in a timely manner
Responsible for the currency and accuracy of the scheduling calendars
On-call outside of regular schedule which may include some evenings, weekend and holidays as assigned
In the rotation of on-call shifts during the week and on weekends
Documents all occurrences during on-call shift and communicates change to the scheduling team via verbal and/or written communication after the end of each on-call shift
Processes clock ins and clock outs from Caregivers
Maintains and respects confidentiality of client, employee, and agency information to ensure privacy is protected
Other Duties as assigned such as: Stocking and maintaining supplies, provide Covid-19 testing to Caregivers and staff, shift coverage when needed, and handing out or delivering supplies to caregivers in the field (mileage reimbursed)
 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Active NM State CNA license/certificate
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
Ability to communicate clearly and respectively, both verbally and in writing
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Prefer minimum one-year staffing/scheduling experience in home care, hospitality, hospital, or similar industries with 24/7 operation
Prefer non-medical in-home care and/or home health experience
Working knowledge of ClearCare or similar home care scheduling software
Valid driver's license/Social Security Card
Must be able to work legally in the US
Current Auto insurance
Proof of a TB test taken within the last year showing clear results
Able to participate in additional training (online)/paid
Two references required
Must be able to pass background check

Work Hours

Mon-Fri 8:30am– 4:30pm
Rotation on-call (Mon-Fri 12am-8:30am and 4:30pm-12am & weekends Fri-Mon 4:30pm-8:30am) Compensation will be added to your payroll when on-call.
 

Compensation

$18.00/hour to $19.00/hour D.O.E. / Certification -plus on-call pay
This position is a non-exempt, hourly position
Paid Time Off after 90 days of employment
Medical/Dental/Vision Package offered after 90 days of employment.  Employer pays one half (1/2) of the coverage for employee only.
