Our mission is to assist the elderly, disabled, and others needing assistance to maintain quality of life.

Job Description:

In this position, you will provide custodial, personal, and some skilled care under nurse delegation to clients that contract with Assisting Hands for services under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in compliance with the Plan of Care designated by the RN.

Reports to: Director of Nursing

Hours:  Dependent on assignment; Shifts available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, and based on availability.

Location: Virginia - Reston, Tysons Corner, McLean, Great Falls, Annandale. We serve all of Fairfax County. 

FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly

Job Requirements

  • Must be a certified CNA, HHA or PCA in Virginia and provide a certificate of completion.
  • One (1) year of experience in the home or long-term care setting is preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Ability to perform physical activities including transferring, rotating, assisting clients who are partially or totally dependent on moving about, stooping, bending, kneeling, standing, walking, and the ability to lift objects and patients weighing over 50 lbs.
