Job Description:

SenCura Home Care provides non-medical home care and has been helping seniors and people with disabilities in Northern Virginia for over 16 years. We are looking for experienced, compassionate, trustworthy caregivers who have excellent communication skills to work with the seniors in our communities. Must be consistent and reliable to show up for work.

Shifts:

Morning Shift: 6am to 12pm (6 hours) or 6am to 2pm (8 hours).

Afternoon Shift: 12pm to 6pm (6 hours) or 2pm to 8pm (6 hours).

Overnight Shift: 8pm to 6am (10 hours).

Note: Hours may vary depending on client need, however, this is a general idea of the range.

Job Duties:

Provide companionship with social and mental engagement, including respectful and friendly interactions with clients

Plan and prepare meals, grocery shop, and cook meals for clients

Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks

Provide transportation and run errands such as doctor's appointments, personal care appointments, shopping, and prescription pick-up

Remind and monitor clients with their medication

Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene

Ensure client safety and personal safety by assisting with walking, transferring, preventing falls, and using proper body mechanics

Communicate and document important events during your shift.

Experience:

Caregiving: 2-3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

Virginia CNA License/Certificate, or HHA or PCA Certificate (Required)
